On Sunday I added the full Microsoft web development stack (ASP.NET v3.5, Silverlight, MS SQL 2005) to the hosting options I can now offer clients.
First client to make use of this new capability was Tiered Solutions Hosting itself - I knocked up the web site and published it in a few hours. It was great to be using VS2008 and all of the lovely ASP.NET features rather than the PHP I’ve been using for the last 8 years.
Looks like an excellent overview to indexes
Always difficult to find good info on the technology that goes into databases (ie stuff thats detailed enough but not so dry that you fall asleep trying to wade through it). So this appears to be an good article for developers wanting more info on Indexes.
Mosso - Rackspace cloud hosting. Very sexy.
GoGrid - More cloud hosting.

M6.Net
Both Brinkster and M6 seem to offer ASP.NET + PHP side by side.
In the second week of July I’ll be ending my current role with Intergraph (.NET 3.5, C#, WinForms, Oracle, TDD, UML, Enterprise Architect) and looking for new work, be it role or project based.
As my new web hosting service enters its 6th successful month I’m also interested in talking with anyone that might want help starting up/or updating their online business, anything from simple websites to online shop fronts.
Since the last list of leads post I’ve lead the following routes:
Bitter Battle Tears HVS 5a *** (Shorn Cliff)
Organ Grinder HVS 5a ** (Shorn Cliff)
Another Brick in the Wall VS 4c (Shorn Cliff)
The Iron Curtain VS 4c * (Shorn Cliff)
Cascade HS 4b (Symonds Yat)
Exchange VS 4b ** (Symonds Yat)
Otak VS 4b * (Symonds Yat)
Argonaut VS 4c (Symonds Yat)
Past Purple VS 4c (Symonds Yat)
Big Bad C VS 4c (Symonds Yat)
A grand total of 7 VS routes clean and 2 HVS routes too .. that’s pretty damn cool! Some memorable experiences in there too .. Big Bad C was an epic, Argonaut was “interesting”, Otak was a close run thing (very pumpy but short), Exchange is just a great climb and I still find it hard to believe I actually climbed Organ Grinder and Bitter Battle Tears yesterday.
So that’s three clean HVS leads so far this year .. really great news, cos climbing at a HVS level opens up an huge number of amazing routes out there
Bit of a blip with the weather at the start of May but back to climbing outdoors again.
Not sure where my head is at the moment when it comes to climbing (not a good sign in itself) but it feels like I’m on the verge of making some pretty fundemental readjustments on what I can climb. Climbing outdoors is very much about how confident you feel doing the moves and in your ability to place the gear. I’m becoming more confident in both and I reckon I’m beinging to see what other peopple mean when they talk about this effecting their ability to lead.
