Climbing update

Filed under: Rock Climbing — Dax++ @ 9:19 am

Since the last list of leads post I’ve lead the following routes:

Bitter Battle Tears HVS 5a *** (Shorn Cliff)
Organ Grinder HVS 5a ** (Shorn Cliff)
Another Brick in the Wall VS 4c (Shorn Cliff)
The Iron Curtain VS 4c * (Shorn Cliff)
Cascade HS 4b (Symonds Yat)
Exchange VS 4b ** (Symonds Yat)
Otak VS 4b * (Symonds Yat)
Argonaut VS 4c (Symonds Yat)
Past Purple VS 4c (Symonds Yat)
Big Bad C VS 4c (Symonds Yat)

A grand total of 7 VS routes clean and 2 HVS routes too .. that’s pretty damn cool! Some memorable experiences in there too .. Big Bad C was an epic, Argonaut was “interesting”, Otak was a close run thing (very pumpy but short), Exchange is just a great climb and I still find it hard to believe I actually climbed Organ Grinder and Bitter Battle Tears yesterday.

So that’s three clean HVS leads so far this year .. really great news, cos climbing at a HVS level opens up an huge number of amazing routes out there :-)
